Graham Silkstone
Correspondence Secretary
Originally from London England, Graham’s early ministry was to young people and youth groups, and he continued this when he first migrated to New Zealand, working with an Anglican youth group in Matamata.
After ordination, he became an unofficial chaplain to various retirement homes and villages alongside parish ministry. He has volunteered with St. John as a first responder, as a security orderly at Wellington Hospital, and as a union representative focusing primarily on working conditions for his colleagues.
Returning to Church ministry, Graham combined a part-time parish with industrial chaplaincy. Joining the chaplaincy team at Tauranga in the middle of COVID was a unique introduction to Chaplaincy for Graham in a hospital setting.
