Gaynor Lincoln

Registrar

For over 40 years, Gaynor dedicated her life to teaching as a primary school teacher.

She also played an active role in Chaplaincy, serving as a Chaplaincy Trust member at Rotorua Hospital for many years.

In 2018, Gaynor achieved her dream by completing a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) module, becoming a Volunteer Chaplaincy Assistant (VCA). In May 2022, she started her role as the Chaplain Rotorua Hospital.

In 2022, she wrote a book called Redemptive Grief, detailing her journey through traumatic loss and how she rebuilt her life, sharing insights with readers. With this unique insight, she offers the Executive a profound understanding of the stress and trauma that Chaplains witness. She recognises the support and encouragement essential in the privileged field of Chaplaincy and her work with the NZHCA highlights her commitment to compassionate care.

Outside of her professional life, she runs grief workshops for those dealing with loss, and she loves crafts, reading, and walking.
