He was involved in community service in the UK, volunteering as a Police Officer and leading a Neighbourhood Watch group. After settling in West Auckland, Andrew joined Kāinga Ora in Tenancy Management, interacting with people from various cultures.

In January 2022, he relocated to Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty and joined Link People, a Community Housing Provider, as a Tenancy Manager where he worked with vulnerable tenants with mental health and addiction issues. He briefly worked as a Property Manager at Barfoot & Thompson before moving into chaplaincy. Andrew was a Volunteer Chaplaincy Assistant at Waitākere and Tauranga Hospitals.

In March 2024, he became an Ecumenical Chaplain at Tauranga Hospital, covering the main hospital and the Mental Health Unit. He is currently working on a Diploma in Chaplaincy and Christian Studies through Alphacrucis College and last year he completed a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) course, enhancing his practical and spiritual skills for ministry.

Andrew is dedicated to supporting people through life's challenges. He is active in his chaplaincy journey. In his free time, he enjoys football, sports, travel, walking, spending time with his children, and being part of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
